The most common indication for an IUI procedure is reduced amount of sperm in the ejaculate and/or average or poor sperm motility.
IUI procedure can be recommended in the following cases:
unexplained infertility;
diagnosed chronic cervical inflammation, including cervical mucus secretion problems;
diagnosed adhesions or scar tissue in the cervix after childbirth, cervical colonization due to intraepithelial damage, etc., which may interfere with sperm entering the uterine cavity;
ejaculatory dysfunction (e.g., premature ejaculation).
